Application & Hiring Process

1. How can I qualify as a remote professional at MakerMinds?

There is a five step process for how to become a professional with us (see "How it works"). In the first step you will submit an online application, incl. your past work experiences, the role you are looking for, etc. Once this is approved, you will be invited to an interview in which we want to learn about your motivation and long-term incentive to work with us. If we see a match from both sides, we will send you an assignment and ask you to demonstrate your work. Once this is approved, we will onboard you to our system, invite you to our talent pool and look for the first client.

2. How do I find work through MakerMinds?

The first step is to submit the online application via our website to become a professional in our talent pool. As a member of this, you will be notified for new job positions that match your skillset. When you get hired through MakerMinds, our clients will be paying us for your work, and we will be responsible for paying you. Compensation, payment terms, and all other hiring conditions will be done between you and Minds, so you do not need to worry about different contracts with different clients. Please note: While we handle the payment and hiring, the day-to-day work communication and tasks will be dealt directly between you and your client.

3. Do I need to have a degree to apply?

There is no requirement to be a graduate to apply to us but our data shows that the majority of our professionals do have at least one university degree. If you don’t have a degree, please still apply and convince with previous work experiences that are relevant to your position.

4. Can I apply even if I am working somewhere else on the side?

As long as you can commit to at least 20 hours per week, you can apply to MakerMinds. We are not big fans of recruiting professionals who already have full-time jobs as you probably don’t have extra time to work for us. If you currently have a part-time job, then you should definitely reach out.

5. How does the interview process look like?

There are two different kinds of interviews: 1. Interviews by our recruitment team to become a professional at MakerMinds and 2. Interviews that are conducted by a potential client. While the interview by our team will be consisting of questions of your professional background and motivation, we do not have control about the type of interview your client wants to conduct since this is not directed by us.
